A Brawl In The Safari

Tag:, , , , , , , ,

Every once in awhile you turn on the discovery channel you may see some good nature action.
Sharks, snakes, crocodiles, cheetahs, etc - when they battle they make you watch in awe.

But you probably haven’t seen this. This you gotta watch. It’s not your typical battle scene. It’s truly an amazing footage caught on video, which involves water buffalos, lions, and crocodiles as well!

Video quality isn’t perfect, but enjoy this one…

An epic video…

A group of water buffaloes walk towards a group of lions unknowingly. Then they are chased by the lions and the lions definitely target the small buffalo. They catch it but a couple of crocodiles battle the lions for the poor buffalo.

Lions win. But in the end, the buffaloes parents and brothers and sisters come back with the entire herd and kick the lions ass. And OMG those are ALOT of buffaloes. They surround the lions just like a “Young & Dangerous” gang fight haha!
Watch how a big buffalo knocks the lion way up in the air…

Oh ya, the small buffalo survives… at least according to the video.

The Most Ridiculously Complicated Trick Shot Ever

Tag:No Tags

You’ve seen some snooker/pool table trick shots on TV, but I bet you’ve never seen this one.

An outrageous and ridiculously complicated pool table trick shot, this combines up to four pool tables, and dominos and balls.

The Most Ridiculously Complicated Trick Shot Ever

The ’shot’ isn’t really a trick or tough shot, it’s the setup. And many people have criticized this trick shot for that.
But hey, I’d like to see them do it. ^^
Know what the trick is? Patience… and not many have that.

From the creators of Matrix Ping Pong, they bring you this time the Japanese Slow Motion Food Fight.

I’m sure you’ve all seen the Matrix Ping Pong. Here’s a link: Matrix Ping Pong (video quality isn’t that good though).

Anyway, enjoy the video. Those crazy Japanese guys who created the pong game and the Matrix fight are back and this time they act out a food fight in slow motion.
Wonder why I don’t get sound though…

Bwhahahah~ to me this one is just too funny I had to post this.
Mou Gan Dou (Infernal Affairs) Streamyx.

Chances are, you probably have seen videos of dubbed Infernal Affairs (named CDPRO2) before.
But this is new, and it’s made locally! Specially crafted for our very own Internet service provider Streamyx.

Sorry to those who can’t understand Malay and/or Hokkien as you may not get the joke…

GYScreamyx

Funny thing is that the voice dubs are synched well with the mouth movements, which makes them look like they’re really saying what they’re saying…

StarCraft 2 Announced! Hell, It’s About Time.

22 05 2007
Tag:, , , , , , , , , ,

It’s official!
Call me a nerd if you want. But if you don’t know this game, and if you don’t know me, then you sure as hell better not judge me.

A week ago Blizzard.com started teasing its audience with spash screens showing a countdown of all its major titles from 1994 to the present. On May 19th, 2007, gamers around the world stood still as Blizzard made their humongous announcement in their Worldwide Invitational event in Seoul, South Korea.
Yes the game StarCraft 2 has been officially announced. And damn right it’s about time…

For those poor uninformed souls, StarCraft is a real-time strategy (RTS) game released by Blizzard Entertainment back in 1998. The game’s expansion pack - StarCraft: BroodWar was also released the same year. The storyline follows a war among 3 species, etc.
The main feature is its multiplayer capability, not to mention the great graphics, sound, music, etc.

StarCraft to date, is arguably the best RTS game ever created. It has changed the world’s view of the gaming industry and even converted gaming to a sport.
Even after so many years, StarCraft is played worldwide and still is the no. 1 game in Korea. Many gosus (experts) compete against one another (on national TV!) and earn millions of dollars and they are often idolized too.

What makes StarCraft so unique and so amusing is its matchup and balance, the satisfaction, and the surprises it gives you. With 3 races to choose from, there will always be another unit to counter your strengths and powers. The thrill you get during the real-time battles, the unit controls (macro & micro), the practice, the speed… the new findings that come up even up till this very date. StarCraft is an amazing game that you’d have to try it to believe it. And most say that even the game developers themselves did not think it would be such a success, and that probably the whole game’s uniqueness was a fluke.

StarCraft 2

That aside, gamers have been waiting too long for this sequel to be released. There were some fake releases of course throughout the years, which turned out to be poor modifications. I think I remember various rumors about the game’s development, but they were all dismissed and some of Blizzard’s main developers left the company.

Anyway, StarCraft 2 will come in a 3D world as expected (there was much debate by fans as to whether it should stick to 2D). Many familiar units from the original game as well as new units and upgrades will be seen. An upgraded version of Battle.net (official servers for multiplayer activity) will also be available.

No release date has been announced yet, but that is actually good news. We want the game to be perfectly polished. We don’t want slow loading and lags (especially when it’s going to be 3D) and we sure as hell want it bug-free. If Blizzard can make this sequel half as good (if not just as good) as the original StarCraft, then it’ll be a miracle.

Now all enthusiasm aside, lets hope this long-awaited sequel will be good…

Fujiya & Miyagi Ankle Injuries

This music video, made entirely with dice, is just too cool for me not to post.
The song is pretty soothing too.

Fujiya & Miyagi Ankle Injuries

Just so you know, this is a music video by an English band called Fujiya & Miyagi (LOL?) and the song is called Ankle Injuries.

Pretty artistic. The video was made by software though. Be that as it may, it still is very creative. Given the same tools, chances are I couldn’t come up with the same thing.

Funny band. And their website is kinda weird too…

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

A classic video I came across, about the game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
You should really watch this. It’s outrageous…

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

For the record, no this is not fake.
It’s cool, amazing, outrageously funny. Cocky eh? But cockiness well placed.
And the guy (John Carpenter) did not use any of his lifelines too. Except for the one where he used it to call his dad. He probably saved 30cents to make the phone call!

The Answer is NOT Always C

0/100 in True or False test, can you break this record?!

0/100

The email from the professor to the student:

Dear Michael,

Every year I attempt to boost my students’ final grades by giving them this relatively simple exam consisting of 100 True/False questions from only 3 chapters of material. For the past 20 years that I have taught Intro Communications 101 at this institution I have never once seen someone score below a 65 on this exam. Consequently, your score of a zero is the first in history and ultimately brought the entire class average down a whole 8 points.

There were two possible answer choices: A (True) and B (False). You chose C for all 100 questions in an obvious attempt to get lucky with a least a quarter of the answers. It’s as if you didn’t look at a single question. Unfortunately, this brings your final grade in this class to failing. See you next year!

May God have mercy on your soul.

Sincerely,
Professor William Turner

P.S. If all else fails, go with B from now on.
B is the new C

Be it real or fake, I still feel sorry for the guy.
Poor fella, there was a 50% chance for him to get Q.20 correct, but he erased it.

Funny that the professor had some sense of humor to go in his letter…

Chimpanzee Playing PacMan

“Ms.” PacMan to be exact.
An astonishing video you should take a moment to watch.

Chimp Plays Pacman

Although the chimpanzee isn’t particularly good at it, probably due to lack of concentration skills and practice, it definitely shows that the chimp at least understands the game’s objective and rules to a certain extent.

Makes you ponder for a moment about evolution huh?
Astounding video. I bet with some proper training and practice, the chimp will easily be as good as, if not better than most humans.

20 Most Amazing Coincidences

No I didn’t write these. Found them elsewhere and they are kinda amazing so I thought I’d share.

James Dean’s car curse
In September 1955, James Dean was killed in a horrific car accident whilst he was driving his Porsche sports car. After the crash the car was seen as very unlucky.
a) When the car was towed away from accident scene and taken to a garage, the engine slipped out and fell onto a mechanic, shattering both of his legs.
b) Eventually the engine was bought by a doctor, who put it into his racing car and was killed shortly afterwards, during a race. Another racing driver, in the same race, was killed in his car, which had James Dean’s driveshaft fitted to it.
c) When James Dean’s Porsche was later repaired, the garage it was in was destroyed by fire.
d) Later the car was displayed in Sacramento, but it fell off it’s mount and broke a teenager’s hip.
e) In Oregon, the trailer that the car was mounted on slipped from it’s towbar and smashed through the front of a shop.
f) Finally, in 1959, the car mysteriously broke into 11 pieces while it was sitting on steel supports.

A falling baby, saved twice by the same man
In Detroit sometime in the 1930s, a young (if incredibly careless) mother must have been eternally grateful to a man named Joseph Figlock. As Figlock was walking down the street, the mother’s baby fell from a high window onto Figlock. The baby’s fall was broken and both man and baby were unharmed. A stroke of luck on its own, but a year later, the very same baby fell from the very same window onto poor, unsuspecting Joseph Figlock as he was again passing beneath. And again, they both survived the event. (Source: Mysteries of the Unexplained)

A bullet that reached its destiny years later
Henry Ziegland thought he had dodged fate. In 1883, he broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl’s brother was so enraged that he hunted down Ziegland and shot him. The brother, believing he had killed Ziegland, then turned his gun on himself and took his own life. But Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet, in fact, had only grazed his face and then lodged in a tree. Ziegland surely thought himself a lucky man. Some years later, however, Ziegland decided to cut down the large tree, which still had the bullet in it. The task seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with a few sticks of dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland’s head, killing him. (Source: Ripley’s Believe It or Not!)

Twin Boys, twin lives
The stories of identical twins’ nearly identical lives are often astonishing, but perhaps none more so than those of identical twins born in Ohio. The twin boys were separated at birth, being adopted by different families. Unknown to each other, both families named the boys James. And here the coincidences just begin. Both James grew up not even knowing of the other, yet both sought law-enforcement training, both had abilities in mechanical drawing and carpentry, and each had married women named Linda. They both had sons whom one named James Alan and the other named James Allan. The twin brothers also divorced their wives and married other women - both named Betty. And they both owned dogs which they named Toy. Forty years after their childhood separation, the two men were reunited to share their amazingly similar lives. (Source: Reader’s Digest, January 1980)

Just like Edgar Allan Poe’s book
In the 19th century, the famous horror writer, Egdar Allan Poe, wrote a book called ‘The narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym’. It was about four survivors of a shipwreck who were in an open boat for many days before they decided to kill and eat the cabin boy whose name was Richard Parker. Some years later, in 1884, the yawl, Mignonette, foundered, with only four survivors, who were in an open boat for many days. Eventully the three senior members of the crew, killed and ate the cabin boy. The name of the cabin boy was Richard Parker.
