Kenny George - 7 Foot 7 Inch Basketball Player
24 01 2008Well, back to my favorite sport basketball.
But this is a post about someone named Kenny George. Taken from Wikipedia:
“Kenny George is a basketball center who currently plays for the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) Bulldogs. At 7 ft 7 in (2.31 m), he is the tallest college basketball player in the United States and is believed to have the biggest foot of any basketball player in the world at U.S. shoe size 28.”
Some say he’s actually 7′8″. His playing actually defeats the whole purpose of hard work basketball… >_<
He can't run fast, he can't jump high, and he can't really shoot the basketball (not that he needs to). He can only score within a few feet from the rim. But oh well. No point criticizing someone who's naturally that way.
He is really something. Looking at him I'd call him Big Foot.
Searching YouTube I found several videos of him no doubt. Watch how easily he dunks the basketball, it’s like just reaching his hands above his head. He’d really make Shaquille O’Neal look like a shorty. Though Yao Ming is just 1 inch shorter than Kenny, Kenny does look alot taller I wonder why…

Wow, holy crap! This guy literally doesn’t even need to jump to dunk to the ball in the first videoclip (although he did hop a little in the last three dunks)! Never seen anything like that. I’ve seen a short documentary clip on Youtube with this guy literally standing flatfooted and dunking on a regulation rim! But yes, it appears he doesn’t need to try very to score goals (since all he has to do is stand under the basket catch a lob from the point guard and drop the ball into the hoop with little to no jumping) at but he apparently has great difficulty just running up and down the court.
Yao is 7′5″, so this monster is 3″ taller
Actually, he’s only an inch or two taller than Yao at most, but what’s stunning about Kenny is his armspan…a ridiculous 8,6″ ! Because of his extra arm length, he can literally dunk a basketball without jumping unlike other players of his height who actually still have to jump because they are shorter arms.
