We all know the game Super Mario, it’s probably the most popular game in the world. But have you played Super Mario World on the SNES (Super NES or Super Nintendo Entertainment System) before?
I don’t actually own a SNES system, I only used to play it on the PC using SNES emulators. Hehe…
It’s one hell of a fine platform game. You should give it a try when you have the chance. It’s cute, challenging, addictive, and filled with many secrets.
If you haven’t played the game before, I’d suggest you not watch the following video. It’ll probably leave you wondering WTFz…
But anyhow, this video is just too cool and extreme for me not to post it. It is a custom built level made to sync in tune with several songs. Most people would make a tune out of sounds from a video game, but to actually create loads of levels to make the tune as you play along is simply amazing.
Beware though that it’s 11 minutes long. But this truly is a masterpiece and something not to be missed if you’re a Mario fan.
We’ll all tried those typing games, be it online or offline. Some can be kinda fun or seriously boring.

Great way to improve on your typing skills. You can practice on your own, and even invite your friends to a private race! Pretty neat…

Like playing snooker, or ever played it before?
I used to follow my friends on and off to go pot the colored balls in different snooker joints.
Didn’t get to practise much, so I wasn’t really good at it.
Anyway…
The highest snooker break possible without the benefit of an opponent’s foul is 147. This is known as a maximum break and also regularly called a ‘One-Four-Seven‘. The 147 is amassed by potting all 15 reds with 15 blacks for 120 points then all six colours for a further 27 points.
There are of course breaks exceeding the 147, but as mentioned above, they are possible only with an opponent’s foul.
On to my next point - whether you watch the occasional snooker game on TV.
If you do, then you probably know Ronnie O’Sullivan. Nicknamed “The Rocket” (or more recently “Mr. 147“) due to his rapid playing style, Ronnie is an English professional snooker player, and the reigning 888.com Snooker World Champion. He has been World Champion on three occasions (2001, 2004 and 2008) and is second on the all time prize money list with career earnings of around £5.8 million.
O’Sullivan is considered by his fans, critics, and by many of his fellow professionals such as Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry as the most naturally talented player in the history of the game. He has also been involved in a number of controversial incidents during his career, being a popular figure for many British tabloids.
But enough history lesson, let’s move to the fun stuff.

Watch this video of the latest upcoming imaging technology from Microsoft, and be blown away. This is truly amazing stuff.
The technology he was showing took pictures and other image data and processed it the same way our brains might process images.
Like when we see pictures of a building from different angles - although we’ve never actually physically gone to that building before, our minds can somehow imagine moving around and exploring that building.
This is one of the things this technology can do.
And also, it seems to have no limits to how many times you can magnify a picture you can always see its tiniest of details…

If you’ve got the time to spare, watch this new short film by Blu. An ambiguous animation painted on public walls. Made in Buenos Aires and in Baden (fantoche).
Notice the level of detail and the transitions between locations. This is brilliant work of art comprising of both 2D and 3D. And the project must have taken a whole lot of time + effort.
Since Windows Vista was such a bust, here’s a new version that promises to deliver even more. Windows 7 code named Blackcomb and Vienna is rumored to be released in 2010 (some say 2009).
Some say this video is not Windows 7, just a demo of some apps from Extensoft.
Well, go figure!
Let’s just hope that the upcoming Windows 7 will be as good as it can get, and not just a money sucker. Otherwise, it’s Linux all the way…

Months ago I posted about a popular ventriloquist Terry Fator.
Today it’s Jeff Dunham, an American ventriloquist and stand-up comedian. Though not as multi-talented as Terry Fator, he is still world-class and his jokes are top notch.
He is known for having several signature puppets such as Peanut, Walter, José Jalapeño on a Stick, Bubba J., Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Superhero Guy. Here are a couple of them.
