While I agree that a professional translation agency should be brought in when we’re talking about legal documentation or medical logs, I think it’s a bit of an overreaction when it comes to signs. Unless the sign happens to be saying “Danger: Mines!” or something similar. With Chinglish, the meaning often still comes across.
